Candace Elise is in Lake Michigan, heading to Verplank Docks this morning (August 7), with an estimated arrival time between 11:30am-12:30pm. Track this tug that is carrying the Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs, pronounced HER-sigs) that capture waste heat. This waste heat is used to melt snow from sidewalks and streets in downtown Holland. The HRSGs will continue this function at the new Holland Energy Park, and will allow for expanded services that also use waste heat.
