The Holland BPW has announced plans for the preferred generator interconnect route that will tie in the Holland Energy Park to our community’s existing power distribution system. The proposed 138 kilovolt (kV) line would exit from behind the new plant, following the CSX railway tracks northeast to US-31 and then north to James before heading west along James St. to connect with the James Street substation.
We are considering this route because it minimizes the number of affected property owners, and utilizes a portion of the HBPW distribution network that previously supported 138 kV lines. If approved, the route will go under construction next Spring. Check out the map below for more information.
